Glass toys are made of tempered glass. The glass surface is very smooth, can be warmed up and cooled down easily for added sensation. Avoid boiling and freezing the toy as that can cause shattering of the toy. Glass toys are often called Pyrex toys even though not all glass toys are made of that specific type of glass. Glass toys can be cleaned very easily with warm water and soap. Most are dishwasher safe.

Pyrex class is very shatter resistant and only high drops can cause damage. Once damaged, a glass toy should be discarded because once cracked, more cracks will easily develop. Cracks in the material leave very sharp edges.
