Torture is defined as inflicting pain with the intend of breaking the subject s will. In S&M, torture usually means inflicting pain for a longer period of time. Another definition can be that torture is any S&M activity where the subject is tied and unable to escape.
Aside from direct pain from a whipping or flogging there are many other ways to torture a subject. These include:
* Sensory deprivation
* Sleep deprivation
* Prolongued bondage
* Humiliation
* Golden Showers
* Verbal abuse
* Solitary confinement
* Changing the temperature
