The garrotte (sometimes also spelled garotte or garrote) is a handheld suffocation device - usually a sling of rope, chain or similar materials around the victim’s neck. During the Spanish inquisition, the garrotte was often integrated into a chair or a tick pole that the victim could be strapped onto for torture or execution. This version of the garrotte was used from medieval times till a few centuries ago in 3rd world countries.
Since a garrotte is easy to create or improvise, it is very common for breah play. As with all forms of asphyxiation make sure you follow the necessary safety rules. In addition, especially when playing with a garrotte in a sitting upright position, keep an eye on the blood circuilation of the victim. A person that does not pass out from lack of oxygen, can have blood circuilation issues when quickly standing up.
