It is estimated that about 15% of all people have an allergy against nickel, that means they develop a skin rash under prolongued exposure to nickel.
Nickel allergies can develop in people of all ages and are often triggered by longterm exposure of nickel. In severe cases nickel allergies can also be triggered by nickel in food.

Treatment

Treatment of a nickel allergy usually removal of the offending metal and cortisone based creams against the itching. There are no shorts or pills to desensitize against nickel.
