The reasons for rubber fetish are similar to those for latex as the materials are very similar. Rubber is usually thicker, more stretchy and not as fragile as latex. Pretty much any part of clothing can be made of rubber.
Rubber needs to be cleaned after each use with warm, soapy water to remove sweat and the talc or silicone based lubrication used when putting on the rubber clothing. Avoid using anything abrasive or harsh cleaning supplies - especially those containing chlorine. Air dry (hang on a wide hanger for larger pieces), then apply talc or powder on the inside to keep the clothing from sticking to itself.
To store, select a dry, dark place. UV light and heat can deform the material and make it look dull. Salt and Chlorine will deteriorate the material, discolor it and make it prone to tearing.
To keep the shine, polish the rubber with a soft cloth and rubber polish. Avoid getting talc on the outside of your clothing.
