Objectification is the turning a person into an object. As an object, the person usually looses the abilities to speak, act and often move. Often the subject is restrained, forcing ‘it’ to stay in assigned positions.
Similar to objectification is dehumanization - the act of turning the subject into a living being without the rights or abilities of a human.
