Aside from rope and hand cuffs, tape is one of the most common used restraining methods. Tape comes in many varieties of which only few are useful for bondage.
Be careful to never twist tape as that can cut off blood circulation and leave nasty marks on the skin.

Tape suitable for bondage

Bondage Tape

As the name says, this type of tape is specifically designed for bondage. Usually about 2” (5cm) wide, it comes in many bold colors. Bondage tape is specifically designed to not stick to skin and hair but only to itself.

Duct Tape

Duct tape is suitable for bondage as long as you are not allergic to the adhesive used and you don’t mind losing your body hair. Cut a small piece of duct tape, place on your skin and leave there over night or until itching. If you survive the night, chances are you are alright. Duct tape does not allow the skin underneath to breath therefore it should not be used to cover large amounts of skin or for a longer period of time. It also traps body heat so watch out for signs of overheating and dehydration.

Tape not suitable for bondage

Electrical Tape

The adhesive used on most electrical tape is very harsh on skin and should be avoided.
